    Geraldine Headley

    Geraldine Headley, 81, died Dec. 3, 2017 in Perry. Geraldine was born April 25, 1936 in Blakely, Ga. to Charlie Batson and Alice Maude Locke Batson.

    Geraldine believed in her faith, attended Community Church of Perry where Brother Dennis Howell is Pastor, loved gospel music and reading her Bible. She enjoyed being outdoors, walking and raking her yard. She had two sayings she was known for: “if you’re cold, get to work!” and “if you don’t work, you don’t eat.”

    Geraldine was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Headley; and her parents, Charlie Batson and Alice Maude Locke.

    She is survived by: five children; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Cody McNeese officiating. Interment services followed immediately afterwards in Carlton Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
