    Water levels remain high

    Local rivers are dropping once again, but water levels remain high around the county, filling ditches, creeks and some low-lying areas.

    Taylor County Emergency Management is continuing to monitor the situation with rain chances forecast to increase over the holiday weekend.

    PHOTO: Water levels remain high through much of the county after two months of heavy rainfall. Woods Creek has overflowed its banks in some places at the Taylor County Sports Complex (shown above), but the walking trail is passable at this time.
