Dump truck burns on Aucilla River Road

Taylor County Fire Rescue (TCFR) firefighters responded to a vehicle fire that destroyed a dump truck on Aucilla River Road off Hwy. 98 West Wednesday, July 9. TCFR’s Engine #1 responded to the call at 12:50 p.m. and was on scene at 1:20 p.m. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which completely consumed a Peavy & Sons Construction truck. Firefighters wrapped up the call at 2:10 p.m., but were called back to the scene later in the day when the truck began smoldering again.
