Taylor among top 10 worst counties for jobless rates

Although Taylor County’s unemployment rate held steady for the third straight month in December, the county
now ranks among the worst 10 counties in Florida at 9.2 percent.

Taylor had the eighth highest unemployment rate behind only Flagler, Putnam, St. Lucie, Hendry, Madison, Dixie and Hernando counties, according to figures released by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity on Jan. 18.
