This past summer, the Taylor County School District began a four-year plan to bring individual digital devices into local classrooms by purchasing laptops for students’ use in grades five, eight and nine.

The purchases were one of the major reasons given by Superintendent Paul Dyal for the need to renew a .25 mill critical needs property tax, which was narrowly approved by voters in November.
