Mildred Ann Avery Fulford, 75, died Sunday, July 30, 2023, at her home in Perry. She was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Dade City to the late Charles and Sybil (Whitfield) Avery. Ann – also known to family and friends as Mickey or Millie – married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Lee Fulford, shortly after graduating from Taylor County High School in 1967. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2023. She was a stay-athome wife and mother for several years, entering the workforce when her children began middle school and elementary school respectively. Ann worked at Perry Health Facility, Andrews Drugs and, lastly, at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital Cafe. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and a member of the local congregation for five decades. She had a kind and loving nature, speaking to everyone she met. She was devoted to her family and pets. She always saw the good in people, even when they couldn’t see it for themselves. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sybil Avery, and her sister-in-law, Wendy Avery. She is survived by: her husband, Ronnie Fulford; her daughter, Angela (Phil) Castelucci; her son, Eric (Michelle) Fulford; her brothers, John Avery and David (Cathy) Avery; her sister, Tammie (Curtis) Anspaugh; four granddaughters, Angelika Nicole Guynn; Katelyn (Christopher) Souza; Maranda (Caitlyn) Fulford and Lily Fulford; and three great-grandsons, Damon Guynn, Malachi Souza and Atlas Souza; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, dear cousins and friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 5, at Burns Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to Hearts for Hometown Dogs.
