On July 26, 2024, the world bid farewell to the vibrant soul that was Lorraine Ethel Edington. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Nov. 17, 1934, Lorraine brought light and joy to all those around her. She was a woman of great faith, a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children, Gale Walton and Michael Edington. Lorraine lived a life filled with simple pleasures and cherished moments. With a high school diploma in hand, she pursued a career in medical sales with Matrix Company, leaving a lasting impact in her industry. However, her true passion lied in the outdoors – whether it be gardening, mowing the grass, fishing, walking her dogs or simply basking in the beauty of nature, Lorraine found solace and happiness in the great outdoors on her front porch. Her spirit and zest for life will forever be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we celebrate her life, we honor her legacy of love, laughter and unwavering faith. She will forever be remembered as the best “MomMom,” a title she wore with pride and grace. Rest in peace, dear Lorraine. Your spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. Lorraine was preceded in death by: her first husband Erle C. Edington; her second husband, Robert J. Burns; and her parents Julian and Florence Clegg. She is survived by: her daughter, Gale (Phillip) Walton, and their children, Christopher (Jennifer) Walton, Phillip (Cherith) Walton and Matthew (Amanda) Walton; her son, Michael (Renate) Edington, and their children, Kalee (Michael) Bartel and Michael Edington Jr.; her beloved greatgrandchildren, Shayne (Dillon), Victoria, Emily, Emma, Lucas, Julian, Leah, Chloe and Ethan; two great-great-grandchildren, Clifton and Clayton; and her brother, Ronald (Rita) Clegg; as well as many nieces and nephews also survive her.
