Naomi Deloney Rouis died Dec. 31, 2024. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (1830 Sunset Lane). Naomi Deloney Rouis was born in Sylvester, Ga., to KT Deloney and Annie Johnson. After her mother’s passing, she was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Annie McCain, whom she treasured dearly. Naomi dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized her devotion through baptism in April 1974 in Panama City. Ministry was at the center of her life, and as a regular pioneer she spent many years helping people come to know her God, Jehovah. Naomi is preceded in death by: her parents; grandmother; and beloved siblings, Mattie Lou “Sister” Deloney Thomas and a younger brother; along with her son, Walter Brown, and daughter, Christine Griffin Williams. She looked forward to being reunited with her loved ones, as promised in her favorite scripture, Revelation 21:3-4, which speaks of a time when death, pain and sorrow will be no more. Naomi is survived by: her spouse, Joseph Rouis, and her children, Sherron Jerome Deloney (Teresa), James Brown Jr. (Mary), Ruth Brown Austin (widow of Plez Austin Jr.), Marcus Edward Brown (Jannette), Catherine Weatherspoon Solomon Leon Griffin (Greg), Griffin (Carol), Myron Rouis and Miyah Rouis Nnaya (Chidi). Naomi lovingly embraced her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, and was blessed to have greatgreat-grandchildren.
