FEMA, state promise more storm answers

    Posted on January 17, 2025

Dozens of local residents and business owners filled the board meeting room beyond capacity Wednesday for a joint workshop between the Taylor County Commission and FEMA — only to be told by FEMA officials that rather than the public question-and-answer forum the residents and business owners expected, the workshop would consist of “training” for the county commission on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
