The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has proposed dates for 2014 Gulf recreational red snapper season in state waters. This proposed season will be brought back before the commission for final approval at its April 15-17 meeting in Tallahassee.
The 2014 proposed season, if approved in April, would be 52 days long, starting the Saturday before Memorial Day, (May 24 this year) and remaining open through July 14, closing July 15.
