    State helps B&G Club cover AmeriCorps cuts to funding

    Less than one week after being blindsided by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) suddenly terminating more than $1 million in AmeriCorps grant funding, the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida announced the state has stepped forward to help save more than 50 positions providing mentoring and tutoring services to more than 500 students.
