    Kenneth “Kenny” Young

    Kenneth “Kenny” Young, 65, passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife of 35 years, Sandy, and family. He was a longtime resident of Perry and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Kenny devoted his career to teaching auto mechanics at Taylor Technical Institute (now Big Bend Technical College), sharing his skills and passion for working with his hands. Upon retirement, he found joy in his shop, where he spent countless hours woodworking. His talent lives on through the beautiful tables he crafted that will be cherished for a lifetime by those fortunate enough to have them. Kenny, who loved f ishing, cherished every moment he shared out on the water with his brother, Frank. He was known for his warm spirit, generosity and the love he had for his family and friends. Kenny is survived by: his wife, Sandra Young, and his beloved fur babies, Wilbur, Ollie, Nola and Rocket; children, Corie Andre (Randall), Jaimie Lynch (Maurice) and Cody Chism (Vanessa); siblings, Frank Young (Evi), Buddy Young (Judy) and Richie Young (Mary); grandchildren, Jennah Lynch (Trent), Randy Lynch (Nallely), Brielle Lynch (Richard), Randall “Trey” Andre (Kamryn), Camryn Andre, Gavin By Sarah Hall Chism, Sophia Chism and Caroline Chism; and greatgrandchildren, Madi, Niko, Beaux, Sebastian and baby Victor, on the way. A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Hampton Inn conference room. Family, friends and all who loved Kenny are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the impact he had on so many lives.
