Edward William Page passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 11, 2026, at the age of 82. He was a lifelong resident of Taylor county, born Aug. 30, 1943, at Cabbage Grove, where he spent his formative years At Calvary Baptist until his family moved to Perry, where he graduated from Taylor County High School. After graduating, Ed attended North Florida Junior College, served in the U.S. Army Reserves (1965-1971) and worked in wood procurement for Procter & Gamble and Buckeye until his retirement in 1998. While he was working at Procter & Gamble, he married his beloved wife, Suzanne, and had two daughters, Tiffany and Valerie, who he adored. He enjoyed his work and loved the wood supply business. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served on leadership teams throughout the years. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Ed loved to be outside tending to his property, specifically his pine trees. He spent hours on his tractor mowing and plowing fire lines, and preparing food plots for his grandchildren. Throughout the years, he would plant pines, watch them grow, harvest them, clear the land and start the process over again. He was a quiet, servant leader who loved helping people. He enjoyed teaching people how to manage their daily affairs while sharing his wisdom and love for the Lord. He spent countless hours traveling to and watching his children and grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities. He shared a love for war history and Louis L’Amour books with his grandsons, and enjoyed taking his granddaughters shopping. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Pearlie Page, and his brother, Malcolm. He is survived by: his wife, Suzanne of nearly 52 years; daughters, Tiffany (Walter) Horne and Valerie (Lee) Wiles; sister, Marilyn Lee; brother, Don; grandchildren, including Leah (Mitch) Stephens, Kendall Horne, Tucker Wiles, Ross Horne, and Cooper and Sawyer Wiles; and numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church with Brother Stephen Ruff Officiating. Interment will follow to Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
