Anne was a dedicated Christian and a member of Ash Street Church of Christ in Perry, where she taught Sunday School, worked Vacation Bible School (VBS) and helped in any way she could. She worked in the Taylor County School System for 29 years as a math aide at Gladys Morse Elementary, library aide at Perry Primary and, finally, ran the library at Perry Elementary until her retirement in 2001. She touched many children’s lives and loved her time working with them. The one thing she enjoyed most was time spent together with her family. Our family would like to express our love and gratitude to all of the staff at Oakridge Assisted Living in Mayo where she called home for the last seven years. She loved all of you and was loved and wonderfully cared for by you. We are also grateful for the wonderful and loving care given to her in the last week and a half at Lafayette Healthcare. Anne’s funeral services will be held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. with Brother Theyo Elam officiating.
