The Taylor County Veterinary Medical Association will host a Discount Vaccination Clinic to benefit Helping Hands of the Shelter this Saturday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The clinic will be held in the shaded lot adjacent to Buckeye Community Federal Credit Union.
A wide variety of vaccinations for both cats and dogs will be available at discounted rates along with rabies shots, heartworm tests and nail trimming services. Flea control and heartworm prevention medicines will also be available for purchase.
Organizers remind pet owners that cats must be in carriers and dogs must be on leashes for the event.
The veterinary medical association is comprised of Dr. Tom Fletcher, Dr. Miles Owens and Dr. Will Sapp. To date, the group has donated more than $17,900 to Helping Hands of the Shelter.
