‘Dogs go ‘toe-to-toe’ with Cowboys

While the final score doesn’t reflect it, the Taylor County Bulldogs gave Madison County a first-half scare and went toe-to-toe with the heavily-favored Cowboys for three hard-fought quarters before giving up 21 points late on the way to a 55-21 district loss.

Aided by several penalties and a pair of late defensive breakdowns by the Bulldogs, the Cowboys scored three cheap touchdowns in the final quarter to pull away and turn what was a close game into a blow-out.
