DMH cancels non-emergent surgical cases

In light of the surge in COVID-19 cases, Doctors’ Memorial Hospital has canceled non-emergent surgical cases and is warning residents of longer wait times at the emergency room and local clinics.

“DMH is currently experiencing a large COVID-19 surge,” DMH officials said this week. “Our COVID unit is full, and we have COVID patients in other areas of the hospital as well. Bed capacity in the region and state is extremely limited.”
