Runelle “Nell” T. Barnett

Runelle “Nell” T. Barnett, 92, passed away on June 17, 2023, in Perry. She was born March 3, 1931, in Worth County, Ga., to Bert F. Thomason and Ellen Ruth Cody Thomason. Nell was of the Assembly of God faith and a member of First Assembly of God in Perry. She worked with Florida National and Southeast Banks as a secretary for more than 30 years. Nell was a member of the Perry Garden Club, and most of all she loved her cats. Runelle was preceded in death by: her parents, Bert F. Thomason and Ellen Ruth Cody Thomason; her husband of 50 years, Bill Barnett; three sisters, Lucy, Verne and Pat; and her three brothers, Tom, Coleman and Freeman. Nell is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Barnett, and a host of wonderful, loving nieces and nephews who she loved so very much. Graveside services will be held at a later date. The family received friends Monday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
