Ronald Dwaine Carlton

Ronald Dwaine Carlton, 68, passed away on July 15, 2023, in Perry. He was born Oct. 20, 1954, in Perry to Perry Alton “Slick” Carlton and Gracie “Trudy” Cash Carlton. Dwaine was of the Christian faith. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and mud bogging, and watching Florida State University (FSU) football. He worked as a traveling welder for more than 30 years. Dwaine was preceded in death by: his parents, Slick and Trudy Carlton; his son, Brock Carlton; his sister, Wonell Young; and a nephew, Colby Young. He is survived by: five daughters, Brandi and her husband, John Meyer, Staci and her husband, Ty Whiddon, Toni Carlton, Chelsi Carlton and Keri Carlton; his son, Ronald Dwaine “Dane” Carlton; sister, Kim and her husband, Jesus Diez; 11 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; a cousin who was very special to him, Mattie Touchton; and honorary daughter, Ashli Hudson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Crickett Watson officiating. Interment services will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
