Rodney Lamar Cannon, 73, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024 in Tallahassee, FL. Rodney was born January 21, 1951 in Barwick, GA. to Ivey Cannon and Edith Matthews Cannon.

Rodney loved fishing and all things outdoors. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Rodney was preceded in death by his wife of over 20 years Betty Jo Brantley Cannon, his daughter Teresa Cannon Sparks, his parents Ivey and Edith Cannon, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his sons Josh Cannon, Robin Sparks, Clyde and Conrad Weatherly, grandchildren Scarlett, Pacen, Dalton, Levi, Kaleb and Sarena, three sisters, Betty Jean Lindsey, Barbara (Chuck) Clemons, and Francis (Donald) Brumbley, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many others who considered him family.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00 in Woodlawn cemetery in Perry, FL. with Pastor David Stephens officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
