    Gerald Clifford Coker Sr.

    Gerald Clifford Coker Sr., passed away at his home in Thomasville, Ga., Feb. 7, 2025, at the age of 80. Born April 30, 1944, in Madison, he spent his last years in Thomasville, Ga., after moving there from Perry, where he had lived since 2009 (after moving there from Pensacola). He proudly served his country in the Army and brought that same dedication to his work at Holland Pump, where he spent 17 years in the construction industry. In his spare time, enjoyed gardening, f ishing and watching Florida State Seminole football. He is survived by: a son, “Cliff” Coker of Marianna; his loving daughters, Vonda Owens and husband, John, of Thomasville and Ginger daughters, Julie Watts, Sharon King, Sandy Bateman and Livingston and husband, Gary, of Perry, Belinda Coker of Perry and Lisa Parkerson, and husband, Chris; two sisters, Betty Burnett of Greenville and Myrtle Brown of Cherry Lake; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gerald was preceded in death by: his wife, Marlene Coker; his parents, Guy and Patry Coker; a sister, Cristal Stokley; two brothers, Fred “Buck” Capps and David Coker; and a grandson, Brian Livingston. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, with Edward officiating.
