Pastor Dorothy Mae Brown Knowles With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announced the passing of Pastor Dorothy Mae Knowles, 85, on Feb. 1, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. Born and raised in Perry, Pastor Knowles is survived by her daughter, Ketina (Travis) Glover of Madison, and two grandchildren, Bethany Glover and Travis Glover Jr., along with a host of other family members. She served as pastor at Church of God of Prophecy in Perry before moving to Madison to live with her daughter. Viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 14, from 4-6 p.m. at Cooks and Cooper Funeral Home in Madison (located at 162 SW Third Avenue). Family and friends are welcome to share memories. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Perry (located at 613 Hampton Springs Avenue). Cooks and Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
