Shelly Faye Cruce passed away on Feb. 10, 2025, at the age of 67 following an extended illness.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1958, to the late Shelton and Jean Edwards, and lived her entire life in Perry.
Shelly married her high school sweetheart, Jerry, and together they built a beautiful life filled with family and friends.
Whether you knew her as Shelly, Mama, Selwe, Mrs. Shelly or Nana, with her infectious smile and loving heart, she made a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Shelly’s family were her “heart,” one of her greatest joys was filling her home with the ones she loved.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Shelton and Jean Edwards; sister, Sandy Bowden; brother, Bobby Edwards; son, Brad Cruce; and infant daughter, Brandi Cruce.
She is survived by: her husband of 49 years, Jerry Cruce; daughter, Angie (Harper) Gibson; brother, Tommy Edwards; grandchildren, Titan, Stelan, Miranda and Brantley Cruce, Levi and Lorelai Gibson; and great-grandchild, Brad Cruce; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held to honor Shelly Friday, Feb. 14, at 3 p.m. at Carlton Cemetery with Brother Gary French officiating.
All services are under the care of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home.
