    Posted on February 14, 2025

Gloria Karen (Rocky) Ezell passed away Feb. 10, 2025, from complications of flu and pneumonia.

She was born in Perry July 26, 1943, to Livingston Gill Dail and Mabel Eason Calhoun Dail.

After losing her mother, she was raised by her sister, Patricia, and her husband, Beasley Williams.

She graduated from Taylor County High School, where she was a cheerleader and made many lifelong friendships.

She married her high school sweetheart, Billy Ezell, and was just short of celebrating 60 years of marriage before passing.

While raising her family, she served as sales manager of Sports-Craft Boats and then for human resources and recruiting for Procter & Gamble at Foley.

Her passion was her family and doing for others in times of need. She could always be counted on for preparing homemade dinners, cakes and pies for both celebrations and funeral gatherings.

Playing bridge was a favorite pastime that she enjoyed for many years after retirement. The bridge ladies gave her many new friendships that she treasured.

She is survived by: her husband, Billy Frank Ezell; daughters, Mitzi (Jim) McBride Brannen and Jodie (Chris) Turner of Tallahassee; sisters, Meridy Robertson and Raven Wagoner; brother, Terry (Vonnie) Dail; four grandsons, William McBride, Andrew (Meredith) McBride, Kaleb Towles and Cole Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Woods, and her brother, Paul Dail.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at noon at First Baptist Church in Perry with Pastor Steven Ruff and Kenneth (Kent) Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

Donations can be made her memory to First Baptist Church of Perry.
