With county property tax revenues expected to drop an estimated 20% next fiscal year due to the closure of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose Mill and the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene last September, the Taylor County Commission has asked county departments and the county’s five constitutional officers to identify up to 20% in potential cuts from their budgets.
