Az McHome Jr., 63, of Perry passed away March 4, 2025, in Tallahassee.

He was born on June 21, 1961, in Perry to AZ and Hazel McHome.

A devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and, friend, AZ was known to many as Dennis, Bulldog or Babe.

He enjoyed sitting on a fish creek bank and throwing horseshoes with friends.

He dedicated his life to his family and friends, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Az is survived by: his daughters, Alexis McHome and Amber McHome, both of Perry; sister, Diane McHome of Gainesville; brother, Willie (Irene) Barnes of Perry; grandson, Kaiden McHome; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his lifelong partner, Sandra Wynn; mother, Hazel McHome; father, Az McHome Sr.; brothers, Gregory McHome and Thomas Barnes Sr.; and sister, Ora Mae Hill.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, from 3-6 p.m. at Evans Walker Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m., at Springhill Cemetery.
