    Roadside trash cleanup starting to pick up steam

    A&R Lee Services crew members Audie Towles and Ronnie Russell display some of the more than 840 (50-gallon) trash bags of roadside litter, debris and trash picked up from road right-of-ways where FDOT contractors have finished picking up hurricane debris.

    Although state-led hurricane debris clean-up efforts are far from completed along the county’s public rights-of-way, enough roads have been declared finished to allow county contractors to begin the process of picking up large amounts of household trash and other debris that has accumulated along local roads since Hurricane Helene devastated the county in September.
