Kimberly Mack Wigglesworth, 58, of Atlantic Beach, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 5:35 p.m. at McGraw Community Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family after years of fighting brain cancer. Kimberly Ruth Mack was born on Sept. 24, 1966, at Monroe County Hospital in Ocala to Lena Hines and Charlie Mack. She graduated from P.K. Young High School in 1984. Kimberly Ruth Mack married Wayne Ulie Wigglesworth on Sept. 22, 1985, in Melrose.
This September (2025) would have made 40 years of happy marriage.
Kim and Wayne had three sons, Wesley, Jeremy, and Dustin Wigglesworth, and two grandchildren, Zoey Burris and Dennis Johnson. Kimberly worked as a preschool teacher at The Little Red School House in Jacksonville Beach, primarily teaching 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds.
Before that, she worked as a teacher’s aide and library assistant at Mayport Elementary School in Mayport. She loved teaching children, even while raising three boys at home.
She put God and her family above everything else. She struggled the last few years of her life with multiple health complications, including breast cancer, several brain surgeries, a seizure, vertigo and more, but never once lost the light in her eyes or her faith in the power of God’s healing word.
Kimberly also enjoyed art. To pass the time and as a part of her physical therapy, she enjoyed drawing and doing watercolor paintings. Kimberly was a very active member of Atlantic Beach Assembly of God.
She assisted and taught youth groups, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
When she became too sick to work, she started cleaning up around the church at night to keep herself busy and to be in the House of God where she was always comfortable. Remaining to cherish Kimberly’s memory are: husband, Wayne Wigglesworth; children, Wesley, Jeremy and Dustin Wigglesworth; daughter in-law, Ashley Wigglesworth; grandchildren, Zoey Burris and Dennis Johnson; brothers, Darrel, Danny and Christopher Mack; and sister, Sharon Jackson. Preceding Kimberly in death were her parents, Lena and Charlie Mack. Viewing will be held Saturday, March 22, from 1-2 p.m. at Atlantic Beach Assembly of God. The funeral and ceremony will also be held at Atlantic Beach Assembly of God immediately after the viewing, starting at 2 p.m., with Pastor Donnie Hutto officiating.
Interment/burial will follow at Ferreira Funeral Services at Beaches Memorial Park at 3:30 p.m. where we can all say our final goodbyes to the lovely human being that was Kimberly Mack Wigglesworth.
