DonL Whitfield, 72, of Perry died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry with Curt Whitfield and John Dorman officiatings. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Family members received friends one hour prior to the service at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
