Janet Strickland Kent, 57, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Sunday, March 23, 2014.

A service to celebrate the life of Jan Kent will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The NET Charter High School, 1614 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70113. Condolences can be registered online at basscares.com. Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
