Ruth Flowers, 95, a beloved mother, wife, sister and grandmother. She was born in Boston, Ga., and was an inspiration to her family, friends and neighbors. She loved to share her many recipes, cakes and garden vegetables with all who visited and participated. She found joy in bird watching, gardening and babies. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, John D. Flowers, and her muchloved granddaughter, Summer Nicole. She leaves behind a loving family including four children, six grandchildren, five and great-grandchildren four great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home Perry Chapel with Brother Steven Ruff officiating. Interment will follow to Pineview Memorial Cemetery The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 a.m. Her love and kindness will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
