Amos Junior Simmons, 88, of Perry, passed away April 8, 2015, at Lafayette Health Care in Mayo. Amos was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Perry to Ollie Amos Simmons and Mary Rebecca (Poppell) Simmons.

Funeral services will be held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Homes of Perry on Monday, April 20, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Perry.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at Joe P Burns Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Home.
