With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Lynn Williams, who left this world on June 20, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on March 8, 1949, in Seattle, WA, Gary was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He made his home in Perry, FL, where he enjoyed a fulfilling life surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Gary was known for his kind spirit and warm laughter. As a dedicated milk delivery driver for Bassett, he developed lasting relationships throughout the community. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing his love for the outdoors with those he held dear. He also loved to watch Florida State University Seminole football, was a Sunday School teacher and was a member of Athena Brotherhood. His famous barbecue chicken was a staple at family gatherings, bringing loved ones together around the grill and creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
He is preceded in death by his Parents Marlin and Merle Williams.
Gary is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Linda Williams, who stood by him through life’s adventures. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and undying dedication to his family and friends.
he is also survived by four children Tracy Olive (Kojack), Laura “Toni” Williams, Christina “Tina” Jackson (Gary), and Travis Williams (Abby, his “favorite” daughter-in-law), his sister Patricia McNeely from Navarre Beach, FL., nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 11:00 AM at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with a public visitation beginnning one hour prior. Pastor David McMullen and Pastor Eddie Pridgeon will officiate the service.
In this time of loss, we invite all who knew and loved Gary to remember the warmth of his spirit, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
