    Patricia ‘Pauline’ Shiver

    Posted on October 10, 2025

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Patricia “Pauline” Shiver, 75, who passed away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2025. Born in Perry, on July 7, 1949, Pauline lived a life full of love, strength, faith and family. For 57 years, Pauline shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Ted Richard Shiver, building not just a home, but a lifetime of memories together. She was a proud mother to Richard Keith Shiver and Jamey Ted Shiver, and although her beloved son Jamey passed away at the tender age of 14, his memory always lived on in her heart. Pauline was never afraid of hard work. A skilled Union pipe fitter, she worked side-by-side with her husband and son, traveling internationally and across the country to industrial plants. She took great pride in her craft and in the friendships she built along the way. When she wasn’t working, Pauline found joy in the simple, meaningful moments – riding through the woods of Eridu, airboating and fishing for red bellies and catfish. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family. Pauline had a heart as warm as her smile and a spirit as strong as the life she lived. She was loving, straightforward, and honest – always willing to lend a hand or share a truth, even when it wasn’t easy to hear. Her faith, her laughter and her deep love for others made her unforgettable to everyone who knew her. She is survived by: her husband, Ted Shiver; son, Keith, and daughterin-law, Debbie Shiver; grandchildren, Amanda, Richard and Anthony; and great-grandchildren, Braydon, Mason, Azdahlynn, Everleigh and Lennon. She also leaves behind: her brother, Julian, and wife, Christy; brother-in-law, Buddy, and wife, Gloria; sister-in-law, Rhonda, and husband, Buddy; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Lloyd Paul Blue Sr. and Evelyn Blanton Blue Stephens; stepfather, Lamar Stephens; son, Jamey Ted Shiver; brother, Lloyd Paul Blue Jr. (Bobo); and sister, Julia Ann Roca (Judy). Pauline was a Christian woman of the Primitive Baptist faith, and her unwavering belief guided her throughout her life. She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her truth and the deep love she gave to her family and friends. Though she has left this earth, her spirit will forever live on in every heart she touched. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church. The family will be receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
